Working with Pete Barter has been an absolute pleasure.  He is motivated and passionate about his work, and has consistently demonstrated his support for both Hutt St Centre and our music program.  Pete has been instrumental in supporting fundraising programs for Hutt St Centre’s music program, and without his support the program would not be as successful as it is today.  I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Pete over the last year and look forward to a long and productive working relationship.”

I have now known Peter Barter for approximately three years where I have provided training services for Peter and his staff at ETI. We have had regular contact over this time where I have observed Peters initial genuine and warm connection with me to continue.

Peter leads from the front and others follow his enthusiasm encouragement and warmth. He truly sees the best in people and uses a positive approach to draw out results of excellence. I enjoy being around Peter and I know others do as well. I have not ever heard a bad word said about Peter and I do not expect that I ever will.

I intend to be connected with Peter well into the years ahead.

Yours sincerely,

Richard Palmer

I have known Peter as an exceptional drum instructor. It is evident that he enjoys teaching by his enthusiasm and the encouraging manner in which he teaches his students. Peter has shown tremendous patience and has consistently given positive reinforcement throughout each drum lesson my son Haydn has received over the past three years. Haydn had no musical background and exhibited behavioural problems and a poor level of concentration before he began lessons with Peter. Despite these problems, the lessons have always been actively engaging as Peter introduced new music, patterns and various drumming strategies. I truly believe that Peter exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding teacher as he is an excellent communicator and has the natural ability to develop a rapport with his students. Despite the odds, Peter has been able to motivate and inspire my son with his upbeat mood and fun attitude. I am confident that Peter’s abilities would be a great asset to any organisation which involves inspiring and motivating children and young adults to find their way in life.

ETI is the dream combination of practical education and true inspiration. As the father of a three-year-old, university level teacher and professional drummer for most of my life, the level of musicianship and raw excitement about music I witnessed in these students is unprecedented.

ETI is one of the best communities that I’m apart of. All of the educators thrive for nothing but the student’s success. All the educators show a lot of support and always go that extra mile. ETI is definitely an awesome community and I have and always will recommend it to anyone.

While looking for someone to take on my son Jacob for drumming lessons we come across the
name ETI several times by several different people and Media so we made the decision to give Peter Barter a call. We secured our first lesson and haven’t looked back since.

Jacob at that time was 6 years old and had been diagnosed with Global Developmental Delay and his speech was limited. Since that first lesson Jacob has grown not only with his drumming but with his confidence, his learning ability, his listening skills. Not to mention his rhythm and timing.
Peter is not only a teacher and a mentor to Jacob but he has taken teaching to the next level which is simply Inspiring, Listening, and believing in the students he teaches.

My wife and I are so happy that ETI is part of Jacobs’s journey in something he really loves and the benefits for Jacob with his learning disabilities are enormous.
Thank you ETI for something special.

I invited Pete Barter to join the Music Teachers’ Association of SA Council late last year following good things I had heard about his work in the Music Industry. In particular, I knew his company, ETI Education Through Inspiration, has been at the forefront of educational developments in the popular and rock music scene in this state and further afield. I was pleased when he agreed to lend his support to bringing teachers in his area closer to mainstream practice in conjunction with efforts being made by us and other organisations with similar interests.

He is a very proactive and persuasive advocate for improved teaching standards throughout the music industry and has a considerable following. Based at the St. Paul’s Creative Centre in the centre of Adelaide he has received encouragement from a number of agencies in education and government circles.

Pete Barter has asked me to endorse his plans for a series of speaking engagements across Australia later this year in relation to his passion to improve the outlook for pupils and teachers in the popular and rock music scene. He is an eloquent and informative speaker and would make a fine contribution to any workshop or clinic being planned. I have no hesitation in making such an endorsement.
